Congrats are in order to Maddona’s oldest daughter, Lourdes Leon who looks absolutely stunning in her first ever beauty campaign.
It was announced via Instagram that the 19-year-old is the face of Stella McCartney’s new fragrance, Pop.
Taking a break from her studies at The University of Michigan, Lourdes shot the campaign alongside three other new generation stars. Joining Lourdes in the line-up is musician Claire Boucher (known as Grimes), model Kenya Kinski-Jones, and actress Amandla Stenberg.
Lourdes was an obvious choice for McCartney who is a life long friend of Madonna, and has known Lourdes since she was born.
Sharing the news via Instagram, McCartney wrote: “So happy to have Lola on the POP team! Lola, who I’ve known her entire life, is at the beginning of her career as a performing artist. She’s an independent, inspirational and free-spirited young woman. Despite being born in the spotlight, she has kept her feet firmly on the ground! X Stella #POPNOW #LolaLeon”
Lourdes was particularly keen to be involved with the campaign because of its message promoting self-confidence. “I go through this struggle myself, [where] women’s bodies have been made so public that everyone feels like they need to comment,” Leon told Vogue.
The fragrance’s message is all about creativity and originality – something Lourdes wholeheartedly supports. “I love when someone doesn’t pretend to be someone they are not,” she added.
Sporting an on-trend lavender hair ‘do, Lourdes looks just like her mum did on the cover Vanity Fair back in 1986.
And Madge herself was quick to congratulate her daughter on her latest work. She shared a pic of the new campaign with the caption: “I miss this Beautiful Girl! Looking forward to seeing her very soon!”
