Flat fans rejoice: Louboutin’s Nudes Collection is expanding.
Launched last year, Louboutin’s Nudes Collection is dedicated to – you guessed it – nude styles, but not as you know them.
Dubbed by the brand as ‘Nudes for all’, the French designer’s Nude Collection is the first of its kind to give a more inclusive definition to the term ‘nude’. And about time, too. For decades footwear brands have been interpreting nude as just one shade, and subsequently excluding many women from wearing a style suitable for them.
Louboutin’s Nudes Collection currently includes four of the luxury brand’s most popular heel styles in seven ‘nude’ shades, including the iconic Pigalle Follies and Iriza silhouettes.
Now, the footwear brand is offering flats. And oh my, aren’t they pretty! The brand shared the exciting news by posting the beautiful campaign imagery of the new styles via Instagram.
Coined ‘The Solasofia Ballet Flat’ the chic and elegant style is a pointed-toe ballet flat in soft leather and adorned with a tiny bow. The super flattering style works just like their high-heeled sisters and elongates the leg perfectly. Plus, is their anything more wearable than a nude flat? We think not. Not that you needed more convincing…
Sadly though, like all Louboutins, these new styles don’t come cheap. At just under £400 they are a serious investment piece. However, if you’re going to splash out we can’t think of anything much more practical (or wearable) than a nude flat.
Here’s hoping the high street follow Louboutin’s lead and start offering a bigger range of nude shades. In the meantime, it’s time to start saving…
