“Black, black and, well, more black thats what 99.9% of my outfits consist of. Now, I’m officially a pastel convert. The perfect blend of pink, mint and lilac hues, it’s impossible not to fall for this jackets ladylike charm. I don’t need to tell you bombers are big news, so it’s a no-brainer buy. Plus, if the weather keeps going the way it is, a cover-up is probably the smartest investment you could make.”

“This top = a total game-changer. The thick crochet fabric looks way more spenny than it is, while intricate cutouts mean you can forgo a vest top (though I recommend a bra, otherwise you’ll have a Janet Jackson situ on your hands). It’s a given that it looks cool with jeans and spindly heels, but for summer soirées try it with delicate chiffon or dainty embroidered mesh for an impossibly pretty vibe. Then, come Monday, it’ll look the boardroom part tucked into a pencil skirt. one top: countless outfit ops.”

“I know owning a little black dress is practically the law, but truth be told I’ve had commitment issues with them. My longest LBD affair lasted for 15 days before I tossed it aside for something brighter, frothier and a helluva lot less, well, LBD-y. There’s something about the LBD + me that looks too severe. Not any more, though! This glamorous number has a crochet trim (hello girly) and cute cap sleeves, plus the front panel makes you look about three sizes smaller by some sort of trickery. Best of all, its comfortable - meaning I get to look like a serious ball-buster, who’s not all that serious really.”
Lydia Thompson, Beauty Editor
“I’m constantly looking for items that I can wear in different ways and this is one of them. I kept it simple with black strappy heels for an evening event, but earlier in the day I added a black jumper and comfy flats. It made for the perfect day look that didn’t make me look underdressed when it started to rain. It checks off summer’s hot embroidery trend and it’s basically everything I love in a dress. Perfect for summer or the summer were having now.”
Elizabeth Pether, Senior Marketing Executive
“I thought my peplum obsession was dead and buried in 2007. Now, though, its resurrected in the form of black lace and polka dot mesh way sexier than the neoprene numbers of old. From the fluted cuffs to the prim covered buttons, the attention to detail on this top is next level. For something fancier, just add a leather skirt and sky-high heels.”
