LOOK Pink And Whistles Reign At London Fashion Week

It’s the final day of London Fashion Week (boo!), and as the fashion glitterati pack up and jet off to Milan, it’s time to reflect on some of the highlights from the past five days.

First up, LOOK pink. It’s everywhere! Oh yes, the popping shade of fuchsia that graces the front cover of LOOK magazine has been strutting its stuff on the runway. At Jena Theo (top left), pink prettied up grungy dresses, tops, flippy skirts and cute jackets, all with a ’90s club theme (and smiley face motif to boot). At Jasper Conran, pink two-piece suits were topped with clashing orange hats and tights, and at Mark Fast striking LOOK pink feather gowns stole the show.

Our next highlight has to be Whistles’ first catwalk show (top right). We headed to Dover Street Arts Club for a beautiful presentation of the AW13 limited-edition line. Ultra-wearable jumpers, statement skirts, wow dresses and covetable accessories (check out the shoes and clutch bags), this is the kind of collection that’s set to become everyone’s new winter staples. Maximum wardrobe mileage guaranteed!

And, of course, we couldn’t do any of it without our LOOK ‘fashion wagon’ – a slick, black Hyundai Santa Fe that’s been ferrying our Senior Fashion
News Editor Lucy around London Fashion Week’s key venues in style. From the tents at Somerset House to the tanks at the Tate Modern (and with
pit stops at LOOK HQ in between), we’ve become rather accustomed to the soft leather interior and bump-free ride. Go on, let us keep it Hyundai, you know you want to! LW
