With Coachella a distant memory and the prospect of the next Glastonbury not even a blip on the horizon, it was up to Wilderness to satisfy our unquenchable taste for all things festival. And satisfy it did by calling on Brit model, ‘It’ girl and all-round cool chick, Cara Delevingne, to host a picnic to celebrate her collection with the British luxury brand, Mulberry.
We were lucky enough to be invited along for the ride in a journey that began with the most delicious bacon butties at Claridge’s and ended with an afternoon rendezvous picnic with team Mulberry in Oxfordshire’s Cornbury Park.
Cara certainly didn’t disappoint. Upon arrival at the Mulberry walled garden, we rubbed shoulders with fashion editors, bloggers, ‘It’ girls, models and film stars, including Gemma Chan, Tanya Burr, Douglas Booth and Bonnie Wright, before catching up with Ms Delevingne about the collection itself. “The whole process was amazing, and I am very happy with the final designs,” said Cara to our Senior Fashion News Editor, Lucy Wood. You’ll have to wait until next week’s issue to find out what else she told us, but we can tell you that the picnic of roasted cobnuts, crab and celery heart sandwiches and oat cookies stuffed with cream and gooseberry jelly was just delicious!
Later on we glamped it up in bespoke Wilderness lodges, as well as feasting on a Hix banquet and partying the night away with the wild ones in the forest valley. Be sure to pick up LOOK next week for the full debrief. Thanks for showing us how to do a festival, supermodel style, Cara!
