Jade Thirlwall stepped out in a *very* cute retro ensemble yesterday.
The Little Mix singer, 22, wore a high-waisted tartan yellow skirt to launch Capital FM’s Summertime Ball in London with her bandmates, which she paired with a black polo neck, knee-high socks and lace-up boots.
She’d accessorised with simple gold jewellery and a large handbag.
Hmmm. Now where have we seen a skirt like that before? Well, you’d be totally Clueless if you didn’t remember (geddit?!).
Yep. Jade’s pleated design is a dead ringer for the one Alicia Silverstone’s character Cher Horowitz famously donned in the 1995 film. And doesn’t she look a total Betty in it?
Jade isn’t the only person who’s channelled Clueless over the past few days.
On Wednesday, Megan Fox sported a very similar outfit on the New York set of her new flick Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
Megan’s skirt was black, which coincidentally is the same the colour as the one Cher’s best friend Dionne Davenport – played by Stacey Dash – owns in Clueless.
Shooting scenes as her character April O’Neil, the actress was also wearing over-the-knee socks, a midriff-revealing tied white shirt and a cardigan. For the role, she’s ditched her trademark brunette locks in favour of a wavy blonde bob.
Despite Jade being the only Little Mix girl who’d gone for an old-school vibe, all four looked super-stylish.
Perrie Edwards did LA chic in a white sleeveless jacket, leather-trimmed skinnies and heeled sandals and Leigh-Anne Pinnock showed off her ah-mazing abs in Aztec-print shorts and a cut-out crop top.
Pretty Perrie, 21, complemented her blonde locks with nude lip gloss while 23-year-old Leigh-Anne rocked a slick of red lipstick.
Jesy Nelson wowed in an edgy all-black ensemble, choosing to match a loose-fitting shirt dress with a bowler hat, choker necklace, dark sunnies and a two-tone clutch.
We’re impressed, girls!
