Milan’s Model-Packed Party Was A Bona Fide Frock-Off

As each fashion week arrives in a different city, we brace ourselves for a flurry of glitzy parties and celebrity sightings. And while New York and London provided us with ample amounts of A-list glamour, Milan may have just outdone them both with the amfAR gala, which proved to be something of a model fest.

We clocked Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Coco Rocha,
mother/daughter duo Yasmin and Amber le Bon alongisde celebs such as
Rosario Dawson,
Anna Dello Russo, Bella Thorne, Bianca Brandolini D’Adda, and Ashley Madekwe all dressed in their finest red carpet attire to support the AIDS charity. Phew- what a roll call! The trend was definitely long, floor-sweeping gowns with thigh-high splits, perfect for showing off those model-esque pins.

And while we thoroughly enjoyed the glam squad’s frock-off, our best dressed of the night is awarded to Bar Refaeli and Poppy Delevingne, who both flouted the usual red carpet rules. Bar opted for a short Stella Mccartney dress and simple nude courts, and managed to look both effortless and polished to perfection- fashion week dressing at its best. Meanwhile, Poppy stole the show in a black lace, embroidered floral trouser suit with plunging scallop neckline by Pucci designer Peter Dundas, creator of her incredible, embroidered second wedding dress. We think we’ve just discovered our brand new outfit obsession! Cara’s big sis then finished her look with some show-stopping Bvlgari jewels- sigh.

As Milan Fashion Week draws to a close, we’re gearing ourselves up for the final push to Paris, propelled by the memory of all that Italian beauty we’ve just witnessed over the past few days. With just a week left of fashion month, we can’t wait to bask in the glow of the remaining fashion parties set to take over the French capital. We bet that Paris might just pull out all the stops to bring us the most fabulous fashion moments yet…
