Kim Kardashian has finally addressed that infamous Paper Magazine shoot of hers, insisting: ‘I did it for me.’
Love it or hate it, we’re still all tallking about the shoot that really did #BreakTheInternet. And now Kim has spoken out for the first time to explain her reasons behind baring all…
‘I was so honored and excited to work with (photographer Jean-Paul Goude) because he is a legend, and for me that was something I wanted to do to make myself feel confident,’ she said on Australian TV show The Project.
‘As a role model I’m not saying anyone else should do that, but for me it was an art project and it taught me to do what you want to do,’ she added before explaining she was trying to set an example.
‘I’m never one to preach, but I felt really positive and really good about myself. I love the photos, I did it for me, I hope other people like them.’
And as for that impressive champagne balancing act? Well, that pose certainly has its consequences…
‘Can you actually balance a champagne glass on your derriere, or was it all Photoshopped?’ show host Rove McManus asked.
‘My back hurt for about a week after that shoot … I used muscles,’ Kim responded. ‘(Goude) has an art of posing you and it was definitely not comfortable!’
Well, if it made Kimmy K feel good about her world famous bod (and grab a few headlines in the process), then who are we to argue.
