It was all eyes on Balmain as the clock turned three in Paris this afternoon, where the question on everyone’s lips was will Kendall be there? And would Kim and Kanye be on the FROW? We were right on both counts, as the ingénue Kendall continued her rampage towards Fashion Month Domination by rocking two wicked looks.
She wasn’t alone on the super front, either. Joined by supermodels Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who wore a super chic cutout red jumpsuit and a checked number, Jourdan Dunn (also in a jumpsuit; more on this later) and Joan Smalls, she stormed the catwalk in black in front of big sis Kim and hubbie Kanye on the FROW. We’re imagining one very proud lot of Kardashians!
Kendall walked in the show in a slinky, window-pane number, in what we can only call Olivier Rousteing’s latest Balmain army. While we were slightly disappointed not to see baby North (who put in a PFW appearance at Balenciaga last night), we were more than delighted to see a sequence of jumpsuits on the catwalk: further evidence that it’s not just about boho, floaty fabrics next spring, but also about some good old eighties power dressing!
As Kendall continues to rack up the catwalk appearances (see Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Dolce and Gabbana and DVF for more details), we’re calling it and naming Kendall as SS15’s emerging style icon. The only question that remains is which is going to be the first high street brand to copy that black dress. We’ll keep our eyes peeled and report back.
