Katy Perry and Charlize Theron Create Kindle Covers For Charity

The LOOK office is packed with Kindle addicts, so when we heard celebs including Katy Perry, Charlize Theron and fashion legend Dame Vivienne Westwood had designed Kindle cases, we just had to show you. Not only do the covers perk up the rather dull grey devices – Katy’s is covered with a pink slogan and peace signs, while Charlize’s is a post box red heart emblazoned number – they’re charitable too!

Net proceeds from sales raises money for Whatever It Takes, a charity artwork campaign launched by 21st Century Leaders Foundation to raise funds for key global development causes. Your much needed money helps projects across the globe, from environmental conservation to the protection of children.

The idea is that each Whatever It Takes ambassador, from celebrities to royalty, donates artwork with a symbol and message of hope for the future. Katy’s proclaims ‘Prescribe peace not hate’, and Charlize’s design bears the slogan, ‘All hearts beat as one’. We couldn’t think of better mantras to carry around with us everyday. The covers cost just £19.99, and you can check out the rest of the collection, including designs by Penelope Cruz and Coldplay, as well as iPad covers, canvas prints and homeware at www.whateverittakes.org.
