Kate Moss’s stellar 25-year career will be honoured at the British Fashion Awards on Monday 2nd December.
The iconic supermodel will be awarded the Special Recognition gong at the glitzy London bash, which attracts fashion’s elite ever year.
The British Fashion Council have declared Mossy a continued influence on the industry and a true style icon, and friend Donatella Versace summed up her legendary status by saying “From the very beginning Kate was iconic; she never had to become a model. She has the same energy, the same seduction and the same wit – in front of the camera and with everyone. I love you Kate!”
The award comes just ahead of Kate’s 40th birthday (yes, we can’t believe it either) and her hotly-anticipated Playboy cover. This will be Kate’s third fashion award, after taking home the model of the year title in 2006 and the ‘London 25’ – recognising a fashion personality who embodies the spirit of London and British fashion – in 2009.
Other nominations for the ceremony include Victoria Beckham for Brand Of The Year and Cara Delevigne for Model Of The Year. If the previous year’s attendees are anything to go by, it’s set to be one seriously starry – and stylish – night in London town next week. Watch this space for the hottest red carpet looks.
