Kate Middleton really is having a sellout effect on everything she wears. THAT blue Issa dress worn in her engagement photos was an instant hit.
If you’ve been out of the country and are now only just hearing the name ‘Shola’, you’d probably think it was a new celeb! But no, it’s the dress from high-street fashion shop Reiss that Kate Middleton wore. Just hours after the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in the £175 ‘Shola’ Reiss dress to meet the Obamas, the chic nude-coloured number sold out and crashed the Reiss website for two days.
And just as before, Tesco has been quick to jump on the Kate Middleton supermarket-replica bandwagon. It’s copy may not be the exact same cut but the F&F limited-edition bandage dress is the same neutral colour with a similar flattering design. So if you weren’t one of the lucky few hundred that got the ‘Shola’, you can now copy Kate’s style for £30 at Tesco! The F&F dress is expected to be in Tesco stores from 13 June.
But if you can wait a little longer, it looks like you could get the real thing in six weeks. According to the Reiss blog, the ‘Shola’ is going to be reordered for seconds. It will be sold on a first come, first served basis but you can register your name to be told when the dress is back in stock. Ooh, the excitement! JG
