Kate Middleton’s super polished red carpet outfits have earned her style icon status, but the Duchess proved she can perfect off-duty dressing too this weekend. Kate donned wellies, jeans and a khaki waistcoat for a camping trip to the Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Kent with a group of children from the ‘Expanding Horizons’ primary school scheme.
may have splurged £300 on the leather lined Le Chameau wellies and Burberry shirt, the jeans and cosy jumper came courtesy of her high street go-to store Zara, and made the perfect outfit for getting involved with campfire building, obstacle courses and checking out the children’s tipi tents. One of the kids asked Kate
how it felt to be a princess, to which she replied it was very nice and she got to visit lots of countries. The ‘Expanding Horizons’ scheme gives children from inner city backgrounds the chance to explore the countryside and build confidence and teamwork skills. Camping with a real life princess? School trips don’t come any cooler than that! GG
