Kate Middleton is oozing Christmas spirit, having been spotted in one of her favourite bright red dresses.
The royal was visiting the Anna Freud Centre in Islington this morning for some festive fun, joining in with the children for a music therapy class.
It seems that this Alexander McQueen number is a firm favourite for the Duchess of Cambridge, who has stepped out in it a number of times before.
What Kate might not know is that she’s not the first famous lady to have fallen for the designer dress.
Kim Kardashian was photographed wearing it back in 2011, whilst filming for her spin-off TV series Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
The reality star styled her short sleeved version with some platform snake print heels and a glitzy statement necklace.
Kate, on the other hand, let the detail of the dress speak for itself, leaving her newly chopped locks loose and holding a classic black box clutch to match her black court shoes.
Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos also wore the scarlett mini back in 2011, as she attended auditions for the ITV talent show.
The 27-year-old chose to rock hers with a sweeping fishtail braid and a bright red lip.
Both stars seem to be unlikely style inspiration for the Duchess, but Kate’s first outting in the dress came a year later in 2012. The pleated number was designed by Sarah Burton, and formed part of Alexander McQueen’s 2011 collection.
Kate debuted her version of the dress on the royal barge during the Diamond Jubilee river pageant.
The Duchess is famously a fan of McQueen, having also chosen Sarah Burton to design her lace wedding gown.
We’re not sure where Kate’s style inspiration for this red hot frock choice really came from, but we love it all the same.
