Kate Middleton Breaks The St Patrick’s Day Style Rules

Kate Middleton may be due to give birth next month, but that’s not going to stop her from getting out and about and flaunting her fabulous maternity wares.

The Duchess of Cambridge joined husband Prince William earlier today at Aldershot in Hampshire for the annual St Patrick’s Day parade – wearing what might just be her most rebellious outfit yet…

Despite it being tradition to wear green on the famous Irish holiday, the 33-year-old Duchess of Cambridge shunned the colour and instead opted for a brown Catherine Walker coat and a hat by Lock & Co. Ooh, get you!

Prince George’s gorgeous mum did acknowledge the famous festival through her accessories, however, pinning a gold shamrock brooch to her chest that used to belong to Queen Alexandra. Aw.

As Kate and William greeted the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, the pregnant Duchess looked in extremely high spirits as she beamed at the guardsmen and cradled her blossoming bump under her coat.

Brown suede courts and matching gloves finished off the pregnant royal’s elegant look, while her cascading locks were pinned neatly back in a chic bun. Who knew Kate was such a style renegade?!

In another surprise of the day, a source close to the Duchess has reportedly revealed that Kate uses the same high street eye palette as Jessica Alba and Made In Chelsea’s Lucy Watson to enhance her peepers!

‘Famous for doing her own make-up for events, Kate relies on the Urban Decay NAKED Eyeshadow Palette,’ the insider revealed. Who knew?
