The Duchess of Cambridge never fails to garner a reaction when she steps out in a new outfit. Inspiring sell-out pieces and new high street trends, it’s safe to say that a lot of eyes are on her wardrobe.
So when Kate Middleton attended a reception at Kensington Palace, we couldn’t wait to see what she’d chosen to wear for the occasion.
She was meeting with young people from both India and Bhutan, ahead of the Royal’s upcoming tour to the two countries.
For the occasion, Kate opted for a stunning full-length dress by Indian designer Saloni. Balancing out the flowing design, the frock boasted sheer panelling and a classic polka dot print.
Leaving her hair loose and tumbling, Kate accessorised with some drop earrings. Top marks from us, KM.
After Kensington Palace shared a snap to their official Instagram account, many flooded the comments box with praise for yet another sartorial win.
Comments included: ‘Kate looks stunning as always’, ‘Beautiful dress’ and ‘Dress goals’.
But a few comments seemed to take a different stance, with some questioning Kate’s dress of choice.
Many quickly jumped to her defence, with one writing, ‘…She wears clothing that pays homage to the countries she is visiting with’ [sic].
Others said, ‘Amazing. It is both stylish and relevant to her trip’ and ‘Her clothing is always appropriate for the occasion.’
We thought she looked elegant and stylish.
