It seems that even if you wear a brand-new designer collection immediately after that show has taken place, you will already be behind the curve. After Kate Hudson donned THAT red Versace dress to the couture show before it was even shown on the catwalk, and Jourdan Dunn stunned in her orange Burberry coat that was about to be unveiled at the LCM show – the new precedent for what being ahead in fashion means was clearly set.
The ever-so-sleek Karlie Kloss continued with the trend yesterday morning as New York Fashion Week officially kicked off. Taking to the Frame presentation, the leggy model wore the exact camel coat that was to be shown off. The amazing long, belted creation obviously looked like perfection on both models and proved that Karlie is way ahead of the rest when it comes to her killer wardrobe. Teaming it with a simple black polo-neck and black boots, Karlie sure made it seem like autumn/winter 2015 is going to be a good one.
Also at the presentation was street style star Hanneli Mustaparta in a chic all-white outfit, ticking off that 70s trend with some ah-mazing flares. Joining her was Aussie beauty Jessica Hart whose equally fantastic denim getup was complete with a simple navy knit and casual white trainers.
With lots to look forward to this fashion week – the shows, the street style, the frow gossip – we literally cannot wait to see it all unravel and just have to leave you with this Sex & The City quote which totally sums up our excitement:
“Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future… this is known as Fashion Week!”
