Kanye West has revealed why he doesn’t appear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians much.
In a new clip from the latest series, the rapper is seen accompanying wife Kim Kardashian to Armenia to visit the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, where he explains all to an art instructor.
‘They’re shooting my wife’s show, and I keep on, like, asking them to shoot it like it’s Stanley Kubrick’, he’s seen saying.
Because apparently, Kanye doesn’t feature on the show as he doesn’t like how it’s filmed. Erm, what?! Although, he does make some special allowances…
‘I don’t really do her show just because I don’t particularly like the way the producers shoot some of the shots’, he famously told Hot 97 radio station back in 2013. ‘I’d like to get a different [director of photography] or whatever. And when we got engaged, I made sure the show was there [filming] because I felt like that was something that would make her happy.’

Well, that explains it. Kind of. Reality TV aside, there’s no denying that Kanye’s New York Fashion Week production got people talking this year.
Not only did Kanye upset a number of fashion industry insiders by announcing when his show would take place only five days in advance, but he reportedly also went on to anger the models who walked for him by asking them to sign a non-disclosure agreement – This bans them from talking about the show, him or his family, or they could face a lawsuit of a whopping £6.5M – Yeez!
‘Kanye’s hacked off some really high-profile models by asking them to sign the agreement, particularly because it stated that he could sue them for up to $10million if they spoke out about him,’ the source said. ‘It’s a ridiculous amount and some models flat-out refused.
‘He’s not considered a great talent – everyone knows his show is just a media frenzy, so some girls would rather not be associated with him. The document is ridiculous and totally over the top – but that’s just Kanye.’
Kanye is very protective of his work and it’s no surprise that he would go to great lengths to make sure that the show was a total surprise, but we can’t help but wonder why the inclusion of his family in the non-disclosure. What could there be to hide? Perhaps a Kardashian tantrum or two?! We can only imagine!
What an eventful evening.
Much to everyone’s delight, Kylie Jenner took to the runway once again, showcasing a pair of nude high-waisted sporty leggings and a matching oversized bomber jacket. She wore some pointed ankle boots, sculpted to her legs, and showed off her tiny waist in a muted crop top.
Bella Hadid also walked, and despite both girl’s sporting a cap, we spotted them from a mile off.
Kendall Jenner, who was noticeably absent from the catwalk, was not even given a place on the FROW, sitting behind Kim in the second row next to Kylie’s boyfriend Tyga.
Yeezy Season 2 held the very same signature style as his first, pulling together a utility-inspired collection which was presented by a series of models entering and leaving the stage like an army being directed by a drill sergeant.
The squadron was a sea of leggings, bodysuits, jumper dresses and oversized jackets. Very Kanye.
The first wave wore nude outfits, and the palette got gradually darker with each series of models, running through beige, khaki, browns and finally a shade of black.
The models’ skin-tones appeared to reflect the colour of the clothing they wore.
Like last season, ‘ye collaborated with performance artist Vanessa Beecroft to choreograph something a little different for his FROW goers.
Instagram sensation Ian Connor was also amongst Kanye’s fashion soldiers.
Kim Kardashian and Norrie were, of course, honoured with the best seat in the house. Kim supported her hubby by wearing bespoke pieces from his collection, and she sat alongside Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief, Anna Wintour.
Drake, Lorde and Debbie Harry were also amongst the famous faces that arrived to see Kanye’s second season debut.
