It’s true. Being Cindy Crawford’s daughter is certainly going to give you some serious pops in the looks department right? And luckily for 14-year-old Kaia Gerber, this is one celebrity apple that hasn’t fallen too far from the tree.
Since being signed to IMG Models earlier in the year, Kaia has already made her debut in the prestigious pages of Vogue Italia, and managed to secure an exclusive CR Fashion Book shoot alongside her brother Presley Gerber, shot by none other than the legendary editorial photographer Bruce Weber.
But in an interview with The Edit, Mummy Cindy has admitted to having reserves about her daughter’s modelling career: “Models are expected to be so tiny and I worry about that for her, because that was never my natural body type and I don’t think it’ll be hers, either. Still, I’ll say to her ‘Enjoy carbs while you can!’ Kaia’s blossoming into such a beautiful young woman and I really want to let her shine!” Hear, hear Cindy.
On top of all that, it’s looking like Kaia is about to conquer Hollywood as well as the international fashion circuit when it was confirmed back in July that she’d been cast in forthcoming flick Sister Cities, an indie drama based on a play of the same name. Director Sean Hamish was quick to praise the budding starlet when he spoke to People, stating:
‘Kaia blew me away in her audition.
Her instincts and maturity are impressive for her age.’
He goes on to add:
‘I’m thrilled to cast her and very excited to direct her in her film debut. She has a very bright future.’
Crikey. Is there anything this girl can’t do?!
And if Kaia’s Instagram is anything to go by, it’s obvious that along with being an in-demand model and actress, she is also finding the time to enjoy all the pursuits that a normal teenager would, i.e. goofing around with mates, eating yummy food, and posting pics with her gorgeous mum…obvs.
We can’t help but cast our minds back to what we were up to when we were 14….*sigh*
So, be sure to keep your eyes peeled as Kaia Gerber is about to go stratospheric. Remember you heard it here first.
