Oh hello ’70s, you’re back.
Just Cavalli rocked it at Milan Fashion Week, with an astounding collection that seemed like it came fresh out of a time machine, sent from the decade itself.
But there wasn’t a fancy dress-esque piece in sight, as ready-to-wear was the order of the day.
There was a sea of A-Line skirts, mustard and earthy tones, wide leg trousers, printed dresses and shaggy coats.
The models wore their hair slicked down, heavy with wet-look gel. The make-up was kept minimal, with dewy foundation and nude tones, really allowing the clothing to shine. The overall finish was completed with statement jewellery and stand-out footwear.
What a show!
Want to know the very best part? This look is totally shoppable. Right now.
The ’70s revival started on the SS15 catwalks with the likes of Saint Laurent, Gucci and Tom Ford, and now celebrities such as Suki Waterhouse, Rita Ora and Millie Mackintosh are vibing to the era.
And it’s only going to keep getting bigger.
We love this metallic A-Line skirt, and you can recreat this look with our finds from ASOS and AX Paris.
The polo-neck is a massive part of this uber cool trend, and Just Cavalli gave it a twist by teaming it with classic leopard print. We found you some great alternatives to nod to this look, from Boohoo and River Island.
Today saw the Roberto Cavalli show, which had nods to the same trend.
With fuzzy coats, gilet-style waistcoats, polo-neck dresses and flared-detail shirts, we were loving the mix of textures and deeper autumnal shades. Bravo!
Get yo’ groove on.
