Congratulations, Jessie J! Don’t worry, the popstrel isn’t retiring from music just yet (phew!), but she will have to update her CV soon after scoring an amazing job as a coach on new BBC show The Voice. Already a huge hit in the US – Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine are on the judging panel, and it’s set to be bigger than The X Factor when it hits our screens in spring 2012.
Kooky Jessie is one of four superstar mentors and it seems like she can’t wait: “I’m excited to be a coach, inspiration and mentor, and I jumped at the opportunity as it’s all about the voice,” she said. We reckon there’ll be no pre-show nerves from Miss J either, after she showcased her on-screen skills when she helped The X Factor’s Tulisa choose contestants at the judge’s houses stage last weekend.
If they’ve already snapped up Jessie as a mentor, we can’t wait to see who bags the coveted judges jobs. Bring it on! GG
