Last night’s Tony Awards was a seriously starry affair, with Hollywood’s elite showing up dressed to perfection as Anna Wintour made sure everyone looked on point after last year’s disappointment.
Speaking on a panel at Central St Martins last year, the editor of American Vogue described the Tony’s red carpet as a “disaster”, so this year, she ensured it wouldn’t be. Every nominee and presenter of the award show – that’s 130 people in total – were styled with the help of public relations’ company KCD as well as by stylists from Vogue, Teen Vogue and Vanity Fair.
This year, there’s no chance Ms Wintour would have felt disappointment as she watched the sea of amazing ensembles sweep the event.
One of the best-dressed ladies of the night was Jennifer Lopez who went for a seriously different look on the red carpet. Shunning her usually sexy style, J Lo chose an amazing princessy gown from Valentino’s couture collection. The stunning dress was strapless with a full skirt and was finished off with gorgeous gold detail. She swept her hair into a faux bob and worked an amazing maroon lip.
Joining her on the red carpet in a navy frock was model and actress, Emily Ratajkowski, who stunned in a peekaboo Marc Jacobs dress.
Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls flew the flag for the supermodels with Ms Hadid plumping for Prabal Gurung and Joan wearing Givenchy.
We were totally in love with Rose Byrne’s Delpozo frock and Venassa Hudgen’s Naeem Khan showstopper!
