Jennifer Lopez is doing a Britney! The stunning 45-year-old pop star announced on the semi-finale of American Idol last night that she will be taking up residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas! The singer explained:
“I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life…The show is going to be a multifaceted, high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love. Dance, hip hop, Latin and pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamt of creating!”
Kicking off in January 2016, the show will last four months and is sure to be a total sell out!
Why has this got us so excited though? Well, it means a whole host of ah-mazing stage outfits of course! J Lo is one of the best-dressed on-stage ladies of all time – and with her body still in better shape than most 20 year olds – we’re pretty sure she is going to be showing off plenty of skin and donning many a sequinned ensemble.
In anticipation of what the show will bring, here are our fave ever J Lo stage outfits! We seriously hope some of these make another appearance!
1. The Mega Flares
Apparently J Lo saw the ’70s trend before anyone else, donning this seriously statement two-piece back in 2007.
2. The Ultimate ‘Jenny From The Block’ Uniform
Nobody else – and we mean nobody – could pull this look off.
3. The Leotard Version Of That Dress
Oh you know, the Versace dress that started Google Images? Yeah, she took it onto the stage too!
4. The Naked Britney Number!
Nude, skintight and covered in sequins? That’s a stage outfit everyone approves of.
5. The World Cup Showstopper!
At last year’s Football World Cup in Brazil, all eyes were on Jen and she certainly didn’t fail to disappoint. Is she seriously 45?
So there you have it, from sequins to latex and even mega flares, J Lo knows a thing or two about how to wow on stage and – over the years – we have seen some seriously unforgettable looks! We only hope her Vegas show lives up to her sequinned reputation (we’re pretty sure it will!)
