Okay, we think we’ve just found out the secret behind Khloe Kardashian‘s workout success. THAT amazing wardrobe.
We know, your gym gear isn’t supposed to be a fashion statement. But there’s no denying that some great sportswear can make you feel a million times more motivated to hit that spin class. And Khloe’s got a fitness wardrobe to-DIE-for.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been showing off her epic 150 square foot ‘fitness closet’ in Self magazine. And suddenly, we get why her gym dedication is so good right now.*Drool*.
Walls of neon Lycra shorts, rails of cool printed leggings and designer trainers in EVERY colour under the sun perfectly arranged in cubby holes, it truly is a gym bunny’s haven.
‘I’m in love with my fitness closet!’ Khloe, who boasts multiple wardrobes in her swanky LA pad, said. ‘It’s my favourite closet. I genuinely show it off to all of my friends when they are over.’ We don’t blame you, KK!
But Khloe did have a little help. LA Closet Design helped create her amazing workout wardrobe, and CEO and designer Lisa Adams explained their choices.
‘Khloé loves the glass case display for her accessories’, Lisa said. ‘It’s a suede-lined shelf that displays head and wrist bands, sunglasses, hair ties and more.’
‘My favourite part is the shoe area. I keep envisioning my own sneakers being displayed in the way Khloé’s are!’
There’s no denying that Khloe Kardashian is looking INSANE at the moment due to her hard work in the gym. But do you know what she’s not a fan of? DIETS.
‘I think all diets are kind of weird’, she told the hosts of Australia’s Nova 96.9. ‘The word ‘die’ is in it.
“I believe in lifestyle changes, and when you think of something long term, you do it better. If I know I just have to eat this way for a week, how does that help you for the long term? It doesn’t.’
But that doesn’t mean the reality TV star hasn’t cut some naughty things out of her diet.
‘I’ve made major cutbacks’, she admitted. ‘I used to love soda. So I’ve cut out soda completely and I’ll drink iced tea or water for what I drink throughout my day.
‘I just made that like a lifestyle change. I’ll do like one thing, like, a month. I’ll just cut something off little by little, and then it just becomes like a part of your life. You don’t even think about it.’
Khloe’s also got one man in particular to thank for her changing shape – her trainer, Gunnar Peterson.
‘I’m just obsessed with [Gunnar]. I really am’, she gushed. ‘He has changed my body, but he’s not militant. I’m not paying you to yell at me. I want someone who’s motivating and encouraging, like if they are proud of you for even being there that day.’
And the best thing about her PT? He tells her that if she wants a Beyoncé butt, she can have it.
‘Gunner is really proud and sweet and positive in that way, and also he comes from a place of ‘yes.’ So if I’m like, “I want Beyoncé’s booty,” he’ll say, “Okay, we’re gonna do that.” He’s not like, “Well, you can’t because you’re a foot taller than her.” He just is very positive,’ she added.
Throwing her hands up against the wall to showcase her famous derriere and striking a stiletto-ed pose, hands on hips, it was a straight up Beyonce vibe for the sassiest Kardashian sister.
And it’s no wonder she’s feeling those Queen Bey vibes. After the Met Gala, Khloe shared a shot of the superstar singer looking incredible in her sheer Givenchy gown, captioned: ‘I just got my motivation for the year!! Holy moly!! Yes!!!! I see you!!!! Shut it down…’
A grey pencil skirt and tied front tank top showed off every inch of Khloe’s gorgeous bod, while a wavy high ponytail and a dark crimson red lip perfected her sexy day glam look.
‘I’m loving this easy number that @monicarosestyle put together while playing in my closet!’ Khloe wrote to pay tribute to her stylist.
And her fans couldn’t get enough. ‘Her body looks better ever!’ one user commented. ‘I’m so in love,’ wrote another.
So just how has Khloe been honing this knockout body of hers over the last few weeks? Well, her personal trainer Gunnar Peterson has just spilled all about her sexy transformation.
Yep. FORGET lipo – Khloe’s all about working out.
‘Khloe’s the animal – full on animal in the gym,’ he told Entertainment Tonight’s Brooke Anderson. ‘No complaining, no bitching, no kvetching. Just gets after it.’
‘This is Khloe’s moment,’ he stressed. ‘You can see it. The changes she’s made are incredible. She’s done it the right way. Nothing fast – hard work. It’s steady, hard work and it’s very relatable and her body is banging right now.’ You can say that again.
To get Khloe’s super fit body, Gunnar recommends trying the following:
1. Pair strength training with cardio.
‘Even if you’re doing what you consider to be straight cardio, if you’re on a bike for 25 or running for 25 minutes, drop down every five minutes and do ten squats, ten pushups and ten crunches. Mix that into that same thing you’re doing and watch the results.’
2. You cannot train a bad diet.
Sticking to a healthy diet is key. ‘They’re making good choices outside of here [the gym],’ he says of his famous clients. ’24 hours in a day, right? There’s one in here, the other 23 you can’t screw it up, and you cannot train a bad diet. So they’re eating properly, they’re eating at the right time, they’re eating the right amounts and they’re getting their rest.’
‘The closer you are to your goal, the more important that is,” he adds. ‘If you wanna zero in, you have the diet on point. Don’t look at it like a diet, look at it like a way of eating.’
