So the best Rihanna news dropped into our Inboxes this morning. The singer has agreed to a full-blown documentary being made about her life. And we are TOO EXCITED.
The theatrical feature documentary will be directed by legendary filmmaker Peter Berg, creator of Lone Survivor, and will follow the singer through her everyday life.
Promising ‘an unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon’, we’re predicting tonnes of cool backstage access, and coveted peek into what the Bajan beauty’s really like behind-the-scenes.
Peter is already close with the FourFiveSeconds singer, having given her her first ever acting role in 2013 movie Battleship. He explained he liked the idea of examining ‘a young artist at the top of her professional field’, adding that the documentary will be ‘much more a character study than a music film’. Ah-mazing.
The documentary will be one of the first projects for Berg’s new production company, Film 45, but so far no word has been released about when she can expect this gem.
We feel like we already know RiRi a little from her uncensored Instagram account and those Oprah interviews. But a whole film prying into her off-stage antics? Too brilliant to bear.
With things reportedly heating up between her and Leonardo DiCaprio, will the Hollywood A-lister be making a cameo?! (We all know he’s a pro in front of the lens, and RiRi’s already rumoured to be starring in his new film The Crowded Room
Will we be allowed a peek into her incredible wardrobe? Will she take us home to Barbados to meet Mrs Fenty?
All we know is, it’s going to be epic.
