Gigi Hadid looked INCREDIBLE at last night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Yep, the 20-year-old stepped out onto the runway to make her debut – and with the help of her BFF and fellow (new) angel Kendall, she totally rocked it.
“Kendall and I have both been dreaming about this our whole lives, so to be able to do it for the first time together is amazing,” Hadid said. “It’s just so nice that someone I know so well is feeling all the same things and is also nervous, and also scared, and also excited. She was the first person I texted this morning, just like, ‘Good morning, are you as nervous as I am?’ It’s been nice.”
“Lily and Behati, who are such pros at this, have been so welcoming and they really act like big sisters to us. I’m just enjoying it all,” she added. Aw, it really is the girl group of dreams.
Ever since the announcement came that Gigi would be taking part in the lingerie extravaganza, we’ve been wondering which of the brand’s designs she’d be showcasing.
Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed. She wowed in a turquoise set, which had (natch) been paired with butterfly wings and a flowing printed train.
We also saw her in a more casual ensemble, working a red crop top and baggy yellow trousers. We’re not exactly sure why she was holding a toy dog, but she managed to pull it off.
Gigi’s blonde locks had been styled into tousled waves, while her face had been kept natural with nude lipstick, 60s-style eyeliner and a sweep of bronzer.
She’d earlier given us a glimpse of herself getting ready before the show, wearing one of those famous pink dressing gowns. How did she STILL look amazing with rollers in her hair?!
Gigi was supported by her mum Yolanda Foster and brother Anwar Hadid while on stage, stepping out with Yolanda at the after party.
For the evening event, Gigi had opted for a black maxi with extreme cut-out sections around her chest, stomach and thighs. She’d pinned her mane into loose chignon and accessorised with strappy heels.
Yolanda, 51, nailed power dressing in a grey suit.
We already know that Gigi was incredibly emotional when she first found out that she’d be walking in the VS show. In an Instagram video, we saw her nailing her catwalk audition before being told that she’d made the final cut.
The model fell to her knees as senior creative Ed Razek asked her to join them.
Now Yolanda has revealed that this was actually her third time auditioning, telling Daily Mail: ‘She has worked really hard; this didn’t just fall into her lap.
‘She’s missed it twice, this was her third try and she pulled it off and got a spot that millions and millions of beautiful women deserve as much as she does. That’s a part of the game though.’
