We all know the feeling. You spot an A-lister out and about looking totally amazing, go to recreate their outfit, only to find out that it comes with an eye-watering price tag near enough the same as (if not more than) a month’s rent. That’s why, when we uncovered Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn’s flawless Paris Fashion Week ensembles as high street, we could hardly contain ourselves.
We’ll start with Kendall. Not once, but twice, did we spot the supermodel endorsing our hottest high street mavens.
When she attended the Colette Store event, Kendall donned a chic ivory cut-out culotte jumpsuit from none other than high street hot-shot ASOS. Teamed with a pair of quirky specs, cream trench coat and matching bag and flatforms, Kendall’s look was a serious crowd-pleaser. The best part? Her jumpsuit comes in at a purse-friendly £45.
Then, just a few days later, Kendall headed out to explore the city of lights with Kurt Geiger’s wine-hued Croc London tote firmly in hand.
While we can’t say the £235 price tag is exactly a bargain, we certainly can say that it’s within much closer reach than her usual arm candy. We’ll be pairing ours with jeans during the day and an LBD come nighttime.
Meanwhile, fellow model and Balmain army recruit Jourdan Dunn opted for almost top-to-toe high street to attend the brand’s SS16 show. Urban Outfitter’s Urban Renewal suede patchwork skirt and jacket were her pieces of choice, costing just £125 for the jacket and £65 for the skirt.
Given her much-coveted Balmain army status, we can’t help but take her sartorial choice for the brand’s runway show as an even bigger statement in favour of the high street.
One thing’s for sure, both Kendall and Jourdan’s looks are set for a pretty short shelf-life. Race you there!
