The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge is not only one of our favourite stylish pregnant celebrities, but she also never fails to keep her hair and make-up on point.
Which is why, as LOOK’s cover star this week, we couldn’t wait to grill the singer on her top hair and skin tips. And she was nothing but honest when it comes to breakouts, pregnancy skin and her surprising shiny hair secret…
Over to you, Frankie!
You’re glowing at the moment – please say it’s not all pregnancy hormones?
I change my skincare routine all the time anyway, but when you’re pregnant your skin does change. Before Parker I would never get a shiny face ever, but I’ve had really bad skin this time round. I do try to cleanse and tone and have no makeup days but it’s like a vicious cycle: If you have bad skin you want to cover it up, but then you don’t want to put makeup on it too.
Do you have any strange beauty rituals?
I only ever use shampoo – I don’t condition. I just use Pantene – that’s what I’ve always used. My hair goes too soft if I condition, and I find that it’s shiny enough anyway.
Fair enough! What made you decide to get involved with the Superdrug/Marie Curie campaign?
As The Saturdays we’ve done quite a bit with Marie Curie in the past already so for me this seemed like quite an obvious thing for me to get involved with. We’ve had quite a few friends who have had terminal illnesses, and I’ve seen where the money goes and how much it’s needed. It’s vital that help and support is there.
Do you buy designer clothes for Parker?
Not really. I really want him to have a little Burberry trench because I think they’re really cute but they’re so expensive it doesn’t seem worth it.
