Who Will Be In The All-Female Ocean’s Eleven Reboot?

Erm, the best cast EVER.

UPDATE: CONFIRMED! Warner Bros has officially announced that an all-female Ocean’s Eleven reboot is coming.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham-Carter, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna and the rapper Awkwafina are set to star in the movie.

Nope, we could hardly believe it either.

If you’re wondering how long you’ve got to wait, filming of Ocean’s Ocho will begin in October.

That’s just 51 days, 16 hours and 10 minutes, then. What?!

2/11/15: From Ghostbusters and Charlie’s Angels to Disney’s Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast, the list of film remakes coming our way next year has us chomping at the bit for a bit of cinema action. And just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, we’ve just got word that 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven is going to be getting an all-female reboot, with none other than Sandra Bullock taking the lead role.

Yep, rumour has it that Hunger Games director (eek!) Gary Ross and writer Olivia Milch actually started work on the movie last year, although filming is yet to begin and the cast list is yet to have been completed. One thing we do know, though, is that George Clooney will reunite with Sandra as a producer of the remake alongside Steven Soderbergh (who also directed the original), leaving us all the more excited for it’s release.

As for the plot, little has been given away, but with Bullock and Clooney standing at the helm, we can’t help but think it’ll make for one hell of a box office hit.

In fact, while we were practically jumping for joy at the prospect of an all-women Ghostbusters remake featuring Bridesmaids stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, it looks like this one may just pip it to the post with twelve females set to grace the big screen.

Either way, neither a filming start date or cinema release date is yet to have been confirmed. In the meantime, we’ll be pondering the possibilities of who will play Bullock’s right-hand woman – Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lawrence included. And Miss Bullock’s love interest? Hugh Grant? Robert Downey Junior?
