Just days after staging what may well be the most spell-binding New York Fashion Week show ever (you NEED to see Lady Gaga’s appearance), none other than Marc Jacobs has been spotted FROW-side at London Fashion Week.
It gets better. It wasn’t the exclusive Burberry, Temperley London or even Alexander McQueen show Marc was at, but Fashion East – his former intern’s debut runway show.
How COOL is that?!
Fashion East designer Amy Victoria Robinson (otherwise known as A V Robinson), was Marc’s former design assistant before she decided to spread her fashion wings and start her own clothing line last year.
And in honour of everything Amy did for him, Mr Marc Jacobs decided to show his support by attending her very first London Fashion Week show.
Now that’s a FROW-goer worth bragging about.
Sure enough, fellow Fashion East-as (see what we did there?!) could hardly believe their luck when they spied the big name designer sat in the Tate Britain.
Lorna Weightman of @styleisleIRL tweeted: “Marc Jacobs is at Fashion East? At least it looks like him! #LFW”
Antonia Kraskowski of @adulescent, meanwhile, posted: “Literally 100% fan-girling over the fact that Marc Jacobs is so near me that I could stroke his face #LFW”
Reasons to be star struck didn’t stop there. A V Robertson even recruited top models Edie Campbell and Georgia May Jagger to walk in her show. Pretty impressive for a debut, right?!
As for Marc, rumour has it his Fashion East appearance isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of him this season. Apparently, the designer is set to paint the town red alongside Kate Moss this evening to promote his new Harrods beauty line.
We. Can’t. Cope.
