Emma Watson proved she’s still queen of the classic red carpet look with her latest Time 100 Gala outfit.
The 25-year-old has just been recognised as one of the world’s 100 most influential people for 2015, namely due to her recent United Nations campaign on women’s rights. But she’s also consistently influencing our wardrobes thanks to her timeless and elegant style.
And for her latest appearance at the Lincoln Centre, the actress worked an unusual trend we’ve been seeing a lot lately – the trouser skirt.
Emma has been known to rock a smart trouser on the red carpet before, but this time she picked a pair of grey Dior cigarette trousers that boasted a high waistline and a voluminous skirt on one side.
We saw this look just last week on Kendall Jenner, who worked a similar pair but with a shorter overlay skirt out in New York. And Emma Stone also followed suit at the Golden Globes 2015 with her navy silk trousers and sweeping bowed side-skirt.
Three makes a trend…
The Harry Potter star teamed her quirky trews with lace-up heels and an off-the-shoulder black top and diamond earrings, finishing off with a shiny perspex box clutch and a mega bling diamond cuff.
Emma’s hair and make-up is consistently clean, fresh and polished, and last night we were totally feeling her perfect complexion, orange red lipstick and brushed-up brows, while her swept-back-yet-tousled updo gave a modern edge.
Once inside, the Beauty And The Beast star was spotted having a drink and a giggle with fellow Hollywood A-lister (and newly single) Bradley Cooper, who was also honoured on the night.
With Emma already owning the red carpet this year, we can’t wait to see what gowns she’ll be pulling out as Belle in Beauty And The Beast.
