If there’s one thing that makes us wish we were famous, it’s the fact that with that A-list status comes access to some of the most beautiful clothes, accessories and shoes on the planet. Constantly papped in the hottest designer buys, we’ve spent many an hour swooning over the clobber of the stars. So, you can imagine our delight when we found out we could actually own a piece of their killer style.
Emma Watson, Keira Knightley, Olivia Palermo and Lupita Nyong’o are just some of the big names who have ransacked their wardrobes in a bid to help raise funds for Women for Women International, a charity operating on a global scale which aims to help women in war-torn countries rebuild their lives. So yeah, it’s a pretty worthy cause.
The Wardrobes for Women Christmas sale, which is hosted by luxury resale site Vestiaire Collective, predicts the pre-owned designer clothes will raise thousands of pounds when it launches on December 3.
So, what can you expect to snap up? Pieces that are perfect for the party season, that’s what!
25-year-old Emma is parting with her favourite Christian Louboutin and Roger Vivier black heels, but insists she is doing so with ‘absolute pleasure. The actress, who also just so happens to be a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, has heralded Women for Women International as such a ‘worthy cause’, and has also decided to part with a seriously chic check dress by Derek Lam and handbags by Lulu Guinness and Stella McCartney, all for a fraction of their original RRP.
Fellow actress Lupita is said to be donating a burgundy red jacket complete with an embellished white collar from Miu Miu, while Keira Knightley will be parting with a printed silk Valentino bag. Dreamy.
We don’t know about you, but we’ll be on Vestiaire Collective first thing tomorrow to try and get our hands on a pair of Emma’s heels. See you at the cyber checkout…
