Emma Roberts’ New Underwear Campaign Is Unretouched

As part of lingerie brand Aerie’s ‘#AerieREAL campaign, Emma Roberts has posed for a series of Photoshop-free shots clad in the label’s latest collection. The exciting collaboration was actually announced at the beginning of July, but the photos have only just landed. Prepare for a serious girl-crush….

Speaking to Refinery29, the American Horror Story star said: “I’ve been a fan of American Eagle and Aerie since I was a little girl, and when they approached me I thought it was so cool, because no one else is doing this. Unlike the other ads that make me feel like I need to work out more, or I need to buy this for my face – those made me feel good, not like I had to hide behind anything.”

And that she certainly doesn’t. Sporting Aerie’s hottest lace bralets, pastel blue intimates and cosy loungewear, Emma looks totally flawless.

Aerie’s very first #AerieREAL ad campaign featured a plus-size model, and there have been some negative comments about the brand recruiting Emma as the new ambassador. But we reckon that, as a Hollywood A-lister, Emma’s decision to pose for unretouched photos makes just as much of a statement.

She added: “Often, when we hear the word ‘real’, we automatically think flaws, but it just means being yourself, realising you’re beautiful the way you are, and not taking it all too seriously. Like on Instagram, I love posting pics of myself looking silly and laughing – it doesn’t always have to be a sexy selfie.”
