Lazy Oaf has joined forces with Disney to produce a new collection based on all our favourite films, from Cinderella to The Aristocats. This is Disney x Lazy Oaf and it's really, really great...
There are so many collaborations we’re looking forward to at the moment. There’s Kenzo X H&M, Alexa Chung for Marks and Spencer and now, there’s Disney x Lazy Oaf.
We can’t say we saw this one coming but as soon as it landed in our inbox, we were smitten. Not that we’re surprised; this range comes courtesy of the brand that creates some of the most irreverent, sometimes whacky pieces on the high street. We didn’t know we wanted a cat print shirt or a multicoloured faux fur jacket, or even a puffa jacket covered in clouds, for that matter. But we do now.
If you’re not familiar with the label, it hails from London and is currently celebrating its 15th birthday. It has, in its own words, been ‘keeping it weird since 2001’ and has previously collaborated with some serious power players including Warner Bros, Dreamworks and DC Comics.
For Disney x Lazy Oaf, there are 26 womenswear pieces and four for the boys. Date night is about to get interesting. There are three different sections: sorbet hues dominate the Cinderella and Aristocats pieces, all pretty ribbon details and cute denim separates. For the 101 Dalmations range, you can pretty much embrace your inner Cruella thanks to faux fur jackets and spot-print tees.
Last- but certainly not least- comes Mickey Mouse. And for anyone who fell in love with Britney, Justin and Xtina during their Mouseketeer days, this is for you. From knitted cardigans to Varsity-style jackets emblazoned with those famous mouse ears, this is a Disney fan’s dream. There’s even a pinafore dress complete with 3D ears.
If you want to keep your nostalgia on the more subtle side, there’s also a range of accessories from a mere £10 to satiate your Disney desires. Although we do defy anyone not to fall in love with the Aristocats white denim jacket, which doesn’t just have Marie’s adorable mug stamped on the pockets, pink ribbon is woven onto the sleeves.
Everything starts dropping online on 20th October, so you might want to make a note in your diary. Otherwise we’ll beat you to it. You can shop it right here.
