Marc by Marc Jacobs will unveil its final collection this Autumn for Resort 2016. But before we bid a final farewell to the Marc Jacobs diffusion line, it has been revealed the designer has something very special planned…
It was recently announced that Marc by Marc Jacobs will partner with screen stars Disney to create a very special collection of holiday merchandise inspired by Alice in Wonderland. We know! The collection will coincide with the release of the upcoming sequel film Alice Through the Looking Glass, to be released in May 2016 starring A-listers Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter, once again directed by Tim Burton. Set to be another blockbuster hit, we can’t wait to see Depp back as the loopy Mad Hatter.
The designer collaboration is to be called I Am Not Like Other Girls and will include merchandise such as sweatshirts, backpacks, phone cases, totes, jewellery and much more. We cannot wait to see what the designer will do with the collection – who didn’t love his awesome Mickey Mouse jumper in his Spring 2013 collection? All the product will be inspired by iconic images and items from the classic fairytale like hearts and bows. You can be sure there’ll be a Queen of hearts reference in there somewhere.
The collection will be available worldwide from 1st November with prices starting around £40. Get in line, this is one collection set to sell fast!
And it seems like Marc Jacobs isn’t the only one with Disney fever. Princess Eugenie threw a star-studded Disney themed party to celebrate her 25th birthday this week at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. The party was packed full of royal family and celeb friends to help the Princess celebrate in pure style. The Duchess of Cambridge’s brother James Middleton was seen entering the party with TV Presenter girlfriend Donna Air who had earlier shared a snap of the couple dressed and ready for the event in full fancy dress. Princess Eugenie was rumoured to have taken centre stage dressed as Snow White and apparently also hired seven dwarfs to complete her look. Now that’s a party we wish we’d been invited to!
