Well, not exactly…
We’re sure you haven’t forgotten the ice bucket challenge, which took the celeb world by storm in 2014 as the likes of Anna Wintour and Victoria Beckham joined in the fun to help raise awareness for ALS. That came after the make-up free selfie which was all about breast cancer awareness. Well, listen up, because the latest wave of do good social media campaigns has arrived in the world of fashion!
Yes that’s right, when Georgia May Jagger posted an Instagram selfie yesterday, her smudged lipstick wasn’t an overlooked accident, but was actually part of the new Smear For Smear campaign – which is to encourage women to get regular Pap smears in order to help prevent cervical cancer. The campaign was started by UK-based Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.
Georgia nominated Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse to do their own smeared lipstick snaps and we are certain the two will play ball.
Georgia May was also joined by Rita Ora who posted a smudged lipstick selfie yesterday. She had opted for a darker tone than Georgia’s bright red lipstick but hers was just as smudged!
Watch this space for all our fave fashionistas to join in with the trend and raise awareness for another great cause! And don’t forget to do your own! #smearforsmear
