David Beckham is one doting dad. When he’s not stripping to his pants to showcase his latest H&M collection or carrying out tireless UN charity work, you’ll find him spending quality time with his family.
Yep, the 40-year-old heartthrob is seriously close to all four of his brood, but apparently he’s not far from your textbook embarassing dad.
The former footie star had a laugh at Brooklyn’s expense when his son posted a black and white selfie of himself. Captioning the shot, Brooklyn said: ‘Rocking the old school Ralph Lauren’. So far, it’s pretty innocent, right? But then David interjected the post, and things got downright hilarious.
What Brooklyn failed – or chose not to mention – was the fact that the jumper in question wasn’t his. It’s actually his dad’s. Cue David Beckham, who waded in and claimed rights to the garment, bluntly commenting on the pic, ‘That’s my jumper’. LOLs.
Needless to say, Brooklyn’s followers went crazy over the quip, and left a barrage of hilarious comments on the post. It wasn’t all sass from David though – he did throw his son’s snap a ‘like’.
But, speaking on the Graham Norton show, David says that even though Brooklyn steals his clothes almost everyday, the teen gets all the attention.
“When we’re out, he gets recognized so much that I’m literally known as Brooklyn’s dad now. I’m the one that takes the picture of him—”
N’aww. Do we sense a bit of jealousy, Becks?
