Daniel Craig is making headlines today after suggesting that he would rather die than make another James Bond film. When asked if he would do another of the franchise films, in an interview with Time Out London, the actor jokingly answered, “I would rather break this glass and slit my wrists.”
Explaining that he was “over” it all, Daniel went on to say, “I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
Although he is contracted to take part in one more film and is currently on a promotional trail for ‘Spectre’, the actor suggested that he won’t necessarily be fulfilling his contract. He explained, ‘I’m contracted for one more, but I’m not going to make predictions,” adding that if he did one, it would only be fore the money.

And when it comes to who might be taking his place, Daniel had a similar attitude:
“Look, I don’t give a f***. Good luck to them. All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better.”
While speculation has been rife about who will be next to play the most famous fictional spy in Britain, there doesn’t seem to be a clear frontrunner. Daniel Lewis has been tipped for the role, as have Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston. But when it comes to giving the new man advice, Daniel simply said:
“Don’t be sh*t. You’ve got to step it up. People do not make movies like this anymore. This is really rare now. So don’t be sh*t.”
While Daniel Craig may be ready to move on from the franchise, the fanbase certainly isn’t. With huge anticipation leading up to the new film, Daniel may have to prepare for alot more attention to come.
