Curves Are Officially Back!

The results of LOOK’s Shape Survey are in. Your verdict? You love real ladies with real curves and you want to see even more fab figures in this year’s magazine… Beyoncé’s booty and Rihanna’s hourglass silhouette are the new body shape de rigueur, and we’re crowning 2011 the official year of the curve!

Here at LOOK we’ve always championed real women so we’re thrilled that being voluptuous is back in vogue. From Crystal Renn at last year’s LOOK catwalk show to Mad Men’s hourglass-gorgeous Christina Hendricks, curvy women have been taking over red carpets around the world, stealing the attention of the paps wherever they go. And now, thanks to you and your inspiring feedback, we’ve joined forces with ITV’s Lorraine to launch the UK’s first-ever curvy model search.

LOOK editor Ali Hall and associate editor Jill Wanless were on the show last week talking about the competition and asking for girls like you to enter to win the chance to model in LOOK throughout the year. When we posted our Shape Survey here on and asked you what kind of models you wanted to see in the mag, a massive 98% of you said that you would love to see more normal girls wearing your high street favourties and declared Beyoncé your No 1 beautiful-body role model. In fact, all the women who made your top 5 were bootylicious celebs with curves in all the right places!
