Cheryl Fernandez-Versini sure knows how to make a comeback, doesn’t she?
The pop princess has been staying low key since Christmas, with hardly a peep out of her on Instagram or in public. But now, she’s made her grand return to the spotlight with a striking new hairdo.
Last time we saw Cheryl, she was working impossibly long, thick, tresses in her video for new single, Only Human. And the X Factor saw her working her signature ombre locks in a variety of styles.
But get ready for the transformation of the year, as the former Girls Aloud star has had one serious chop.
Unveiled on Instagram late last night, the 30-year-old singer shared a snap of her new ’70s shag hairdo with the caption: ‘I ❤️ the 70’s #newdo colour is @lorealparisuk Casting Creme Gloss Berry Red 565. @percyhair thanks for the chop.’
As well as her new neck-grazing hairstyle, Chery’s also got rid of the blonde in favour of a deep, rich dark red hue.
We love it, but it looks like her new short hair, which the star debuted during the filming of the Graham Norton Show last night, is taking a bit of getting used to.
Sharing a snap of her working a thick black roll neck jumper and plumping her new hair up in one hand earlier today, Cheryl wrote: ‘Morning people .. Getting to grips with my new “do”.’
What do we think of Mrs FV’s new ‘do?
