With the CFDA Fashion Awards 2013 taking place across the pond in New York last night, the Hollywood fashion elite descended upon Alice Tully Hall for a night of all-out glitz.
The celeb-filled crowd cheered as the Designer of the Year gong (the most prestigious of the lot) went to fashion powerhouse Proenza Schouler, with Suno, 3.1 Philip Lim, and jewellery guru Pamela Love also scooping sought after awards.
Off-stage there was no shortage of glamour with the A-list battling it out in their frock finest. Olivia Palermo looked drop dead gorgeous in a Dennis Basso embelished and fringed frock (inspired by Gatsby much?) accessorised with Sergio Rossi clutch and uh-mazing Zara gold heels. Meanwhile Nicole Richie cranked up the raunch factor in a slinky metalic backless Marc Jacob’s dress styled with a simple cream Louboutin clutch.
It was then left to Kerry Washington and Sofia Vegara to bring a hit of colour to the event with both going for bold bright dresses. Kerry’s Jason Wu gown was like a ray of sunshine amongst a sea of neutrals and complimented her skin tone to perfection. While Sofia’s Vergara’s emerald green maxi with super plunge neckline was so jaw dropping she sent the paps wild. We don’t know about you but we think that deserves an award in itself.
Phew, until next years ladies!
