Cara Delevingne is getting ready for her debut fashion collaboration with DKNY to drop later this month. And we’ve got a sneak peek of the very first campaign shots!
The British model was a natural choice for a DKNY collab – not only has she appeared in a whopping four campaigns for the brand in the past two years, but Cara’s sporty tomboy aesthetic has DKNY written all over it.
It’s taken a year for Cara to nail her designs, but now it’s ready. Put October 15th in your diary, people, as that’s when it’s all kicking off.
Cara’s 15-piece capsule collection will be bright, athletic, and very very urban. Expect plenty of beanies, bold graphic tees and ‘Cara’ embroidered track pants.
Outerwear comes in the form of snuggly fur-lined puffas and yellow and black quilted bombers, with a cool sporty tux-style blazer also thrown in the mix for a chic sartorial surprise.
We’ve seen plenty of celebrity fashion collaborations in our time, but we can safely say this one has Cara’s cool model edge stamped all over it. Proving our point even further is the fact that she even penned the press release!
‘I love to layer every which way’, it reads. ‘There are 15 pieces to play with—no rules, no ‘looks’, just opportunities. For me, it starts with the crop top. It’s essential. You take it from there. A sweat suit/jumpsuit (put it on, and you’re done.)
My dream pantsuit, because you can boy it up, split it up or suit it up, when needed. There are tanks, tees, fun hoodies, track pants, a leather crop bomber TO DIE FOR!! And, of course, an amazing parka— an urban must!’
Prices range from around £40 (for the beanies) to £230 (for the leather jacket).
