Cara Delevingne is now a bonafide movie star. Yup, we know – is there anything this woman can’t do?
Between juggling a stratospheric modelling career, securing campaigns with luxury fashion houses, partying with the A-List AND playing drum solos…she of the eyebrows has now expanded her Hollywood career.
Following roles in the likes of Anna Karenina, London Fields, and most recently The Face of An Angel – alongside lauded actor Daniel Brühl – 22-year-old Cara is testing her leading lady mettle inromantic mystery Paper Towns. The film officially hits cinemas nationwide today so everyone will be able to check out Cara doing her thing.
Based on a novel penned by The Fault In Our Stars author John Green, the movie casts Cara as the enigmatic Margo Roth Spiegelman, the object of neighbour Quentin Jacobsen’s (Nat Wolff) undying affection. A lover of mysteries, Margo then stages her own, disappearing and leaving cryptic clues for Nat to decipher in order to find her. What follows is a heartwarming and madcap coming-of-age adventure as the devoted Nat searches for his friend.
Although the movie has only just been released, anticipation has been slowly steamrolling since the trailer debuted in April. In fact, Cara has impressed tinseltown so much she actually won her first acting trophy in Las Vegas recently, scooping a CinemaCon Rising Star Award alongside her Paper Towns co-star Nat Wolff.
If her acting path is to follow her career trajectory thus far, then we wouldn’t be surprised if the next time we see Cara she’ll be clutching another trophy…a certain gold statuette?
Imagine the gown. Imagine the speech!
Imagine the after party….
If you don’t believe us, check out Cara for yourselves in the trailer below, and make July 24th a date in your cinematic diary.
