It’s the video everyone is talking about. Because as collaborations go, it doesn’t get cooler than Cara Delevingne, Pharrell Williams and Karl Lagerfeld all getting together to create the Chanel movie of the year.
The film, called Reincarnation, charts the story of the beginnings of the legendary Chanel jacket.
Cara is cast as Gabrielle Chanel, who was holidaying in Salzburg and encountered a lift operator (played by Pharrell) rocking a jacket that would go on to inspire her own iconic design.
The full film will be released on December 1st, but we’ve been treated to a sneak peek teaser courtesy of Cara herself. Woop!
Set to the tune of CC The World, a song composed by Pharrell especially for the film and featuring Ms D’s dulcet singing tones, Cara and her handsome fashion muse are seen dancing in period costume with Cara looking gorgeous in a full off-the-shoulder lace-up dress.
White flowers adorn her long brown braided hair, Cara looks every inch the striking old school starlet. And Pharrell scrubs up pretty nicely, too…
Speaking about getting the chance to work with the Happy singer, Cara said: ‘I was so happy, I think I screamed down the phone at him.’ And the feeling was mutual.
According to Lagerfeld, it was Williams that requested to work with Cara in the first place.
