If there’s one A-lister stealing the red carpet crown with her gowns recently, it’s Bond girl Léa Seydoux. It’s partly down to her own style prowess – she’s Parisian, the face of Prada and Miu Miu’s spokesperson – but a lot of credit is also due to her sister Camille Seydoux.
Yep, in case you didn’t know, Camille has been her younger sister’s stylist for the last five years, meaning that she is also responsible for Léa’s jaw-dropping Spectre promo tour wardrobe.
As much of an honour that may be in itself, though, there’s one thing in particular Camille loves about dressing her sister, and that’s working with some seriously high-end designers. “The Prada and Miu Miu team is amazing,” she told Fashionista. “They’re willing to make whatever we want, whatever we like, just so Léa can have these exclusive dresses only for her. This is the part I like most about my job.”
She added: “They’re really willing to give us the most exclusive things. That’s why when Léa is wearing Prada or Miu Miu, she has her own way to wear the brand because it’s really exclusive.”
As for working with her sister, it seems like the Seydoux girls really are getting the best of both worlds. “Sometimes, I’m working on a look and she doesn’t even know what it is,” said Camille. “She trusts me and I know what fits her well. I know she’s going to like it. Sometimes she tells me that she likes one better than the last, but it’s okay. She trusts me.”
But while Léa relies on her sister’s handiwork to look her best on-duty, Camille says that couldn’t be further from the case the rest of the time. “We definitely don’t have similar styles,” she said. “I’m much more into fashion that Lea. She loves to wear big jackets, large pants and men’s T-shirts.”
When Camille isn’t waving her fashionable wand over Léa, there’s a whole host of other starlets she’s been having her stylish way with too. Adele Exarchopolous, Léa’s co-star in Blue Is The Warmest Colour and actress Celine Sallette have both been dressed by Camille in the past.
All in all, Camille has been making a big name for herself of late. Watch this space.
