The Wacky New Proposal Trend Taking Over The Internet

Forget finding an engagement ring hidden in your chocolate fondant, the latest proposal technique involves popping the question with a bath bomb. Yep, you heard us right.

Pearl Bath Bombs is a US company hand making all-natural bath bombs designed especially to encase engagement rings. Pretty genius, eh?

Available in an array of colours and fragrances, these bath bombs dissolve in water to reveal a small circular ‘egg’ container which when opened reveals a ring – a dream proposal set-up for any bath lover. Plus, it’s much safer than accidently swallowing your rock as you tuck into that chocolate fondant.

> A bath to remember

So, how did the makers of Pearl Bath Bombs come up with this unusual idea? Well, the company founder Tessa Madlock was actually proposed to with a bath bomb – her fiance popped the question with an engagement ring hidden inside a DIY bath bomb. Following the gushing reaction from family and friends to her out-there proposal story – and requests left, right and centre – she decided to set-up her own business.  Launching the product via Facebook, Maddock’s video quickly went viral garnering over 14 million views.
