Fancy shopping a star designer before anyone else has? Well, the London College of Fashion has got that covered for you.
LCF – which has turned out the likes of Jimmy Choo – releases a wave of promising up-and-coming designers each year, and they are giving you the chance to shop some of the best collections. The college shop returns for a fourth year to a brand-new location, right in the heart of Carnaby. The pop-up retail space will be fully stocked with womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and jewellery, as well as fashion photography and illustration.
This is your chance to shop a future world-famous designer, while prices are still affordable. A serious investment worth making, we think!
Amongst the goodies, you will find Barbara Kolasinksi’s collection – which was nominated for a Scottish Fashion Award this year – and will include her fuzzy heart-shaped tartan jumper and her candy-pink and acid-purple shaggy coat.
If your shoe-drobe is looking a little sad, then top it up with a nice pair from Camilla Elphick – whose ‘You’ve Got The Luck’ collection features four-leaf clovers and lucky number seven motifs.
Accessory highlights come from natural, woven, silk-braided pieces by Nicole Paskauskas and Estoric’s technicolour jewellery.
This is just a snippet of the fantastic designer pieces that will be on sale at the college shop, which will be taking place from Thursday, December 11 until Tuesday, December 16.
We’ll let you in on an industry secret – shopping young designers is a worthy investment because they are trend-driven and you never know how successful they may one day become. That affordable piece you pick up at the college shop may one day be THE dream designer item.
So, get ahead of the curb and get yourself down to Carnaby Street as soon as the sale begins! But make sure you hurry because if we get there first…
