Awards Season Kicks Off In Serious A-List Style

Dust off your gowns, polish your Manolos and stock up on the hairspray, because awards season has officially begun. We can’t believe it, but it’s that time of year again, when Hollywood’s elite gathers to celebrate the best of the silver screen. And what better way to kick off proceedings than with a series of exclusive A-list parties, packed full of 2015’s most exciting fashion.

The first shindig that got us all excited for Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony was Audi’s bash, which saw some of our fave stars showing off their red carpet best, from Big Eyes star Christoph Waltz to Downton Abbey beauty Joanne Froggatt. But it was definitely one lady in particular who scooped our prestigious prize of Best Dressed.

Yep, we literally can’t stop staring at Jessica Chastain, owner of amazing hair, nifty make-up talents and a knock-out wardrobe. Oh, and she’s a pretty great actress, too. She showed us all how it’s done in an embellished Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2015 dress paired with simply Jimmy Choo sandals. We bow down. Birdman actress Naomi Watts was also in attendance in a halter-neck maxi frock and trusty biker thrown over the top, while Louise Roe opted for a one-shoulder Haney dress, Via Spiga sandals and Edie Parker clutch.

We would like to take a moment here to mention our number one Downton Abbey superstar, Joanne Froggatt. She looked incredible in an Ermanno Scervino SS15 raffia two-piece, posing up a storm in the aqua blue outfit. Great work. We hereby decide to spend the rest of Friday afternoon predicting what these stylish celebs will choose for the actual awards on Sunday. Will Jessica choose more Elie Saab? Will Naomi Watts be in her biker? And who on earth is going to win?

Some very profound questions there, and it goes without saying that we absolutely can’t wait to find out. In the meantime, we’ll be browsing last year’s hair and beauty pics for inspiration. Get your gladrags on ladies, awards season is go!
