The new season starts here thanks to these early AW'16 drops and we're pretty excited!
Some of us here at Look HQ haven’t even been on our summer vacays yet but we’re already getting into the new season spirit. And after waiting months for the new AW’16 collections to hit stores you can kinda understand why. Cast your mind (or Instagram feed) back to earlier this summer when our social media channels went into meltdown (in a good way, obvs) posting sneak-peek snap after sneak-peek snap from the high street’s AW’16 press days. We saw an abundance of embroidered denim, haute hoodies, colourful coats and all-weather leather and now they are just a click away (or will be very soon!) And to make things even easier for you lucky lot we’ve rounded up the best new add-to-bag buys hitting the high street this month… You’re welcome!
Urban Outfitter’s Sporty Ski Pants
FYI Stirrup stretchy leggings are big news for fall and will become your new wardrobe go-to. Wear now with a shirt-dress and sneakers then swap for oversized knits and ankle boots when winter arrives. Believe.
H&M’s Spanish Studio Collection
Seriously oversized bell sleeves? Tick. High neckline? Tick. Embroidered and lace panelling? Tick. What more could you want from a new season boho blouse huh?
Dorothy Perkin’s Oriental Prints
If you’re after pretty prints and patterns for AW’16 then look no further than Dorothy Perkins where you’ll find everything from retro folky florals to eastern inspired blooms.
Primark’s Do It All Denim
Denim staples have always been a key feature in Primark’s collections but thanks to embroidered floral features these jeans are anything but basic.
Oasis’s Pyjama Party
Silky PJ suits and blouses are huge news for fall, which means it’s finally officially okay to wear your nightwear during the day. Wahoo!
Miss Selfridge’s LBD
Their white Self Portrait-esque dress was a high summer hit and so it’s no surprise lace and laser cut frocks are making a reappearance for AW’16, this time in a classic black colour way. Hurrah!
Boohoo’s Tom Boy Bomber
Now we know bomber jackets are nothing brand new but this lace-up detailing on the back of this boyfriend fit bomber is *so* AW’16!
Zara’s Folky Frock
It’s basically Vita Kin but 30 times cheaper so we’re sold. Embroidered maxi dresses may seem pretty summery but after layering a roll-neck underneath and teaming with tights and suede OTK boots you’ll have yourself a winter wardrobe winner.
Topshop’s Pink Puffa
It may look like a giant marshmallow but this 90s classic coat is back and in a BIG way (you have Balenciaga to thank for that!) It may seem totally un-wearable at first but just look how trusty Topshop effortlessly works it with a pair of staple skinny jeans and a white tee. Plus just think how toasty you’ll feel come winter!
M&S’s Luxe Leather Skirt
Nothing looks quite as a chic as a black leather skirt and M&S have absolutely nailed it with this minimalistic midi.
River Island’s ‘Mossy’ Maxi
So we can totally see Kate Moss rocking this 70s inspired floral frock, which basically means it’s totally going straight to the top of our AW’16 wish list pronto.
New Look’s Denim Dream
We’re pretty sure every Fashion Editor, stylist and fblogger in the universe instagrammed this beaut at New Look’s AW’16 press day and you only have to look at it to understand why. And the best bit? It lands in stores this week so get your purses ready ladies!
