Yesterday saw the launch of Alexa Chung’s second collection for denim brand, AG Jeans and the stylish star was the ultimate advert for her own range, rocking a little denim playsuit to perfection whilst posing for snaps in central New York.
Following on from massive success with her first drop earlier this year, Alexa is back again with a new range of denim separates and casual tees designed to fill any gaps in your wardrobe whilst adding a touch of Chung’s signature style to your look.
Talking about her inspiration for the collection, Alexa said:
“This collection was inspired by an imaginary girl gang – a gaggle of delinquents charging across the desert. I don’t know where they came from, I’m not sure where they are going…. But this is what they’re wearing.”
The fashionista worked a super cute, button down playsuit from her range while at the launch – giving her true blues a glammed up finish with a dream pair of metallic star print boots from Tommy Hilfiger.
When asked what prompted her move from modelling to designing, Chung told WWD:
“The collection is inherently the missing pieces of my dream denim wardrobe, which, as ever, is predominantly inspired by a late Sixties, early Seventies aesthetic.”
We can’t promise that wearing this range will make you look as ah-mazing as Alexa, but it will definitely help towards recreating her enviable wardrobe! The collection is available from the 23rd July at www.agjeans.com.
As well as putting her hand to designing, Alexa has been busy making a new documentary series with Vogue. A series of short films will see the star chatting to various members of the fashion industry – from journalists and buyers to design students and heads of big brands – to find out what we can expect from the world of style in the future, and how the industry is working around sustainability and new technology. You can catch a sneak peek in the trailer below while the full series will be available to watch in September.
Alexa seems to be the busiest lady in fashion land right now and we can’t wait to see what will come next for the ever-so-stylish star.
